The Afternoon Tea event was a great success at Cedars Nursing Home
on Wednesday 31st January.
The Activities Team pulled out all the stops to make this a really lovely occasion.
Catia, one of our Activities Coordinators, created a wonderful ‘Vintage Tea Party’ which looked absolutely beautiful.
Debbie , our multi talented Inductions Mentor baked, along with our cook Val , the most amazing cakes and meringues that looked and tasted utterly delicious. Sue , one of our Trustees made melt in the mouth cheese biscuits and visitors and residents was queuing up for more. Several people asked me if I could find out the recipe.
The flowers on the tables and in the window display were really stunning, they were created by our very gifted Yvonne. Yvonne has worked here for many years and in many guises. She does a flower arranging workshop with our residents and is always on hand to support our Activities Team whenever she is needed.
We held a raffle and would like to say a really big thank you to Bargains, Cranbournes, Squires, Tescos, Shaftesbury Wines and The Dorset Store for kindly donating the prizes.
We had a really good turnout of local people and of resident’s family and friends. We raised £72.00 for sensory equipment for our residents.
A big thank you to all those who worked so hard to make it a success and also to our kind friends and supporters!
Hopefully we will see you all again next time!
