With all the alarming news this week about Care Homes I am pleased to share some heart-warming photographs and news about how things are going along at Cedars Castle Hill.
It was so wonderful to have such beautiful weather over the Easter holiday and because our Castle Hill House family were unable to see their loved ones we did everything we could to make Easter as much fun as possible.
The Activities Team and Care Staff pulled out all the stops to make it a really special occasion for everyone.
At Castle Hill House they tucked into Hot Cross Buns and had fun making Easter cakes with Nigel. Then on Easter Sunday they enjoyed an ‘Easter Egg Lucky Dip’.
At the Cedars they made funny ‘Easter Bonnets’ and Catia created lovely little ‘Easter Bunny Baskets’ for each resident as a treat.
The weather was so nice everyone was able to get out into the sunshine and have a lovely lunch in the garden then in the afternoon for tea they had a delicious Easter Cake made by Val our cook. It certainly was a treat to see so many smiling faces!
Of course residents who understand what is happening are rather worried and concerned for their family and friends but we do our best to reassure them and make certain that they stay in touch as often as possible. We also ensure that their loved ones are kept updated and know that every precaution is being taken and that everyone at Cedars Castle Hill is safe and free from this horrible virus.
I hope you all continue to enjoy the sunshine and please remember to ‘Stay Safe!’
