Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we now feel that the time is right for all non-essential visits to our care homes to cease with immediate effect.
We recommend that you do not visit any of our care homes, unless you consider your visit to be essential.
If you feel your visit is essential, please speak with the person in charge at the home prior to visiting. If the emotional or physical well-being of a resident or relative would be adversely affected by not visiting then this might constitute an essential visit.
If you are to proceed with your visit to the home, you will be asked to confirm, prior to entry that you are not suffering from any of the following symptoms:-
- Shortness of breath / difficulty in breathing
In addition, we ask that you observe good infection control measures. These include:-
- Careful attention to the use of hand gel and hand-washing on entering the care home; and
- Good respiratory and cough hygiene by covering your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue when sneezing, coughing, wiping and blowing your nose, and then by placing all used tissues into a waste bin.
Please be assured that if, at any time, we have concerns about anyone in our care homes or home care services in relation to Coronavirus, we will of course speak with named contacts for that care home or home care service as a matter of urgency.
We will continue to communicate any changes to our approach with this ongoing situation through this page on our website.
