We all love the sunshine don’t we! Being able to throw open the doors and windows and breathe in the fresh air. If we are lucky enough to have a garden, this time of year is a time for planting seeds for a summer crop or preparing borders and tubs for hardy annuals.
At Castle Hill House our residents have not only been able to enjoy the sunshine in the garden but also help out with planting of vegetables and flowers. Jack and Nigel (pictured below) created a framework and then planted some Sweet Peas. Hopefully for a lovely show of colour and beautiful fragrance in the summer.
The Easter week end was gorgeous weather and our residents made the most of it. Sunning themselves in the garden whilst sporting their jaunty East Bonnets and Hats. Even Smudge our resident cat got in on the act.
Down at The Cedars, some of the more artistic residents created a beautiful Easter Garden. On Easter Sunday everyone was presented with a handmade carrot carton full of chocolate eggs.
So often on Easter Bank Holiday weekend it is cold and rainy and apart from the most determined among us, we are forced to stay indoors. It made the weekend all the more special because having such beautiful weather was so unusual.
I think you can see how much our residents enjoyed themselves by the smiles on their faces. Happy Days!
Lets hope that more sunshine is on the way!
