Palliative Care

For individuals who suffer serious illness where no more medical support can help, it’s important to help individuals be as comfortable as possible during this time and to minimise any pain or discomfort through specialised palliative care.

Palliative Care

Palliative care is designed to assist in the treatment and management of symptoms following a diagnosis.

We provide palliative care for all residents and for people who find themselves, or their loved one, needing this specialist support.

Palliative care is based on the needs of the resident, not on the resident’s prognosis. It can be applied to anyone, at any age or stage in a serious illness. It affords relief to the resident and enables them to be as comfortable as possible focusing on their quality of life.

The Gold Standards Framework

Cedars Nursing Home and Castle Hill House have now merged all their services, based out of one building at The Cedars in Angel Lane, Shaftesbury. We still provide residential and dementia nursing to all our residents.
