Cedars Castle Hill Care Homes in Shaftsbury specialise in residential, nursing and end of life care, particularly for people with dementia.  We’re independent and not for profit.

We are looking to recruit:

Competitive rates dependent on experience and overtime pay.

Rates of pay from £16.00 – £20.00 per hour.

DOMESTIC/LAUNDRY ASSISTANTS

Over 18’s – £6.80 weekdays & £7.83 weekends

Over 21’s – £7.40 weekdays & £8.17 weekends

Over 25’s – £7.83 weekdays & £8.17 weekends

HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS

We are looking for Part time & Full time Care Assistants

Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and the toilet

Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence; maintain continence; help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.

Care for the residents temporarily sick.

Help care for residents who are at the end of life and dying, in accordance with their wishes.

Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.

Make and change beds, tidy rooms and do light cleaning, empty commodes.

Set tables and trays; serve meals; feed residents who need help; prepare light meals and wash up; tidy and clear dining room.

Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone, greet visitors.

Maintain a neat and tidy appearance.

Read and write reports; take part in staff and residents’ meetings and in training activities as directed.
