I don’t want to jump the gun, as things can change at any moment at this time of year, but the sun has definitely got it’s hat on at the moment!
Having spent a lovely weekend in my own garden, tidying, pruning and sweeping up. Then sitting in the sun enjoying the snowdrops and the crocuses. I decided to take a walk around the garden at Castle Hill House https://cedarscastlehill.co.uk/about-our-homes this morning. It looked so pretty in the sunshine with the daffodils just opening, the trees starting to bud and the lawns a lovely shade of green.
The Garden Room was bathed in the morning sunlight creating an atmosphere of warmth and conviviality. The French doors were open a little to let in the fresh air. While our residents enjoyed their breakfast they could see and hear the birds twittering and fluttering in the hedges. All dressed in their brightest plumage and flirting outrageously with one another.
Walking around the garden with Jack, enjoying this ‘spring-like’ day, I had to remind myself that it was still only February. Fingers crossed the mild weather will continue for a while longer and is the promise of a fine spring and summer to come!
